Meet Anthony.
Anthony has had the privilege of representing Ward Two on the City Council for the past three years, working to make our slice of Quincy an even better place to call home.
His journey into public service started shortly after he graduated from college when he made the conscious decision to dedicate his career to public service.
Seven years ago, he successfully ran for a seat on the School Committee and earned the privilege of representing our community. Simultaneously, he took on a full-time job as a Communications Director in the State Senate, where he proudly served for five years before recently transitioning to his current role at the Mass Association of School Committees.
These experiences in public service have been the cornerstone of his approach as your Councillor. He has put politics aside, focused on carrying out the responsibilities of the job, and delivered tangible results. By working with you, in a short three years Anthony:
Passed a plan to repave more than 6.5 miles of Ward 2 roadways over 5 years;
Worked alongside the Parks Department to reenergize Faxon Park;
Guided the structural and cosmetic improvements at the Fore River Club House;
Supported a Residential Property Tax Exemption that would put more money in your pocket;
Cosponsored a resolve seeking a citywide review of our zoning codes;
Secured pedestrian and vehicle safety improvements throughout the district, including flashing crosswalk beacons, speed signs, and other traffic calming measures;
Called for public input into how nearly $50M in federal COVID-19 relief funds are spent; and
Ensured Quincy Point be selected as a pilot neighborhood for municipal broadband
Above all, Anthony’s greatest pride lies in his ability to connect residents with local services, whether it's trimming overgrown trees, repairing sidewalks, or implementing sensible parking regulations. While these issues may not always make headlines, they make a positive difference in our everyday lives.
Anthony’s great-grandparents emigrated from Italy over 100 years ago, settled down in Quincy Point, and worked hard to make a better life for their family. As your Councillor, Anthony’s sole focus has been to advocate for all families in our community so they may be afforded the same opportunities to succeed that his was.
Anthony is a lifelong resident of Quincy and proud graduate of the Quincy Public Schools. He attended Emmanuel College in Boston where he studied Political Science and Economics. Anthony currently resides in Penn’s Hill with his wife, Hannah, and their dog Brody.
